Merry Christmas!
This video brings back so many happy memories. Oh and Sting still "does it" for me. :)
I love this song, but the history of it makes me sad. It was a well intentioned effort, but like so many things that Hollywood & Gov. get involved in.. it went terribly wrong. This song started a movement and millions were raised to feed Africans during the drought, and pressure was brought so that many more millions in food aid was given to Africa.. so much in fact that many, many local farmers were bankrupted causing a situation where the people were less self reliant and more dependent... always the way with liberals who are many times good intentioned.. but don't think it through to the end.

The guy who starts it all out is Paul Young. Type in "Do They Know Its Christmas?" in wikipedia to find out about the whole thing.
