20 years!

This past weekend, I went home for a quick trip home (I was in Boulder 27 hours total) for my 20 year high school reunion.

I have strong feelings about attending reunions.  Honestly, I cannot stand when people disparage reunions and choose not to go.  I have never, even when I felt that way internally, regretted attending a reunion of some sort.  There are always people there I was glad to see and friendships reformed--often with people I would not have expected.   (And I have attended high school, mission, and study abroad reunions.)

That said, I can say I loved my high school years and I was very excited to attend.  It was a great reunion.  The people who put it together did an excellent job.  Having done a ton of the work for my husband's 20 year reunion, I completely understood how hard it is to put together a reunion and I so appreciate those willing to do it.  (I did have a small part in working on this one but because I was out of state, most of the legwork was done by others.)

Sadly, this is the only picture that I had taken that night.  (Taken by my sister just as we were leaving.)  But it is good picture and I am glad I have one to document the occasion.  Go FHS Class of 1991!

What's your opinion on spouses and reunions? I left Ryan at home for my 10 year...

I think spouses are optional. Dentist husband was a good sport and I actually had a ton of fun at his but normally, I say, let the spouse decide.

I just got 'caught up' on the last 3 or 4 blog posts! It was fun to see people at my 20th.

GREAT burning-shoe-story! That one made me laugh. I like the idea of "spotlighting" one child in a blog post.

I love reunions too and I feel just the same way about them. Plus it helps if you look really cute in a red dress!
